I saw this lady on the Today Show this morning before coming in to work.
Her name is Laurie MacCatskill.
She is a Pancreatic cancer survivor by changing her mind!!
She was told SEVEN YEARS AGO that she had 1 1/2 years to live!
After going thru a long time of chemo and other ‘treatments’,
She then said this:
“Three and a half years ago I was told that chemo was no longer effective —
that I was terminal and had four to six months to live. I could not accept this.
I would seek other opportunities and fight this…and turn up my fun dial!!”
She decided (even though she did go thru a long time with chemo…it did no good for her, and I think might have harmed her)…she would not accept that prognosis, and so she came up with this instead:
“Attitude – it has an incredible impact on our lives. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace that day.
I am convinced that life is 10% of what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.”
I just think this attitude is good for ALL OF US to take on and believe, no matter what some doctor told us. How we react and how we believe and take on our future, depends on our attitude!

Yes! I agree. I attended my friend’s son’s bar mitzvah and this seemed to be the main point, based on my assessment of the passages they read. This is what God intended. man was meant to be happy. Buddha just wants us to be happy too.
